Every boba shop has a classic milk tea. This is ours. We brew the black tea strong, steep it longer than most shops would, and let it cool before the milk goes in. The result is a drink where you taste the tea first, not the sugar.
The milk rounds it out without hiding the tannins. You get that malty, roasted flavour in every sip, and the pearls at the bottom are soaked in brown sugar syrup so they carry their own sweetness. No need to stir.
This is the drink we hand to people who say they have never tried boba before. It is familiar enough to feel safe and good enough to bring them back.
