When you want both chocolate and teaThe Story
Same cocoa as the Chocolate Milk Tea, but this time we do not blend it in. The chocolate layer goes in first, thick and heavy. The milk tea goes on top, lighter and malty. The two sit in the cup in separate layers until you put a straw through them.
The first sip depends on where the straw lands. Near the top, you get straight milk tea. Near the bottom, pure chocolate. In the middle, both at once. The drink changes as you work through it, which is the whole point.
Some people stir it right away. Some people work through the layers one at a time. There is no wrong way. The pearls are at the bottom with the chocolate, so they end up coated in cocoa by the time you reach them.
